Jerrold Mills, Sr. got into this trade because he was broke. A friend offered him a job in the screen enclosure business here in Jacksonville, and he took the chance.
He fell for the work on the very first projects — building something with his hands that a family would use for years. Fifteen years and 300-plus enclosures later, he runs J-Rod and still quotes and works the jobs himself.
Somewhere in there he figured out the business isn't really about aluminum and screen. It's about listening to the homeowner, solving the actual problem, and protecting what people have already put into their home. That's why every build carries a 10-year workmanship warranty.
I may have started this journey because I needed a job, but I stayed because I truly love what I do.
