General FAQ
Everything else
- What areas do you serve?
- Greater Jacksonville and Northeast Florida — including Jacksonville, Orange Park, St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fleming Island, Nocatee, Middleburg, and Jacksonville Beach.
- Are you family-owned?
- Yes. Owner Jerrold Mills is on every job himself, with his son — no call center and no subcontracted crews you've never met.
- Do you use subcontractors?
- No. Jerrold and his son do the work themselves, so the person who quotes your job is the person who builds it.
- Do you offer free estimates?
- Yes — on-site estimates are free. Call (904) 862-8688 and we'll come measure and talk through your options.
- Are you licensed and insured?
- Give us a call and we'll walk you through the license and insurance details for your project.
- Do you pull permits?
- Yes. We handle the permits required for enclosures and covers in Duval and Clay County as part of the job.
- What screen options do you offer?
- Standard fiberglass, tighter no-see-um mesh, and pet-resistant screen. We recommend based on your yard rather than upselling the priciest option.
- What's the difference between a screen room and a pool cage?
- A screen room encloses a patio or porch off the house; a pool cage surrounds the pool and deck. Same materials, different purpose — and we build both.
- How long do screen enclosures last?
- The aluminum frame lasts decades. Screen panels typically need replacing every several years in Florida sun, sooner near the coast.
- Can you match my existing structure?
- Yes — we match finishes and framing to what's already on your home so the new work doesn't look bolted on.
- How much will my project cost?
- It depends on size, screen type, and site conditions, so we quote each job after seeing it. The estimate is free and there's no pressure.
- How soon can you start?
- Timelines vary with permit and season. Call and we'll give you a realistic start window for your job.
- My screen just needs a small repair — is that worth calling about?
- Yes. We do repairs from a single panel up, and it's often far cheaper than people expect. We'll tell you honestly if that's all you need.
- How do I care for a new screen enclosure?
- Rinse the screen and frame a few times a year and keep debris cleared off the roof. That's most of it.
- How do I get a quote?
- Call or text (904) 862-8688, or send a note through the site, and we'll set up a free on-site estimate.
